NEXTORCH TA30C Tactical One-Step-Strobe Flashlight - 1600 Lumens

Amazing! I bought it in person at an event almost four years ago and glad I did! Carried it everyday with the original battery, worked as good as it did when I bought it. The only reason I don't carry it anymore is because I dropped it in an unreachable spot in a deep puddle... I would've swam in the dirty water for it, but could not get access to where it was.

My only two complaints with this light are as follows:
-The completely exposed button and no lock feature. This combination lets you know very quickly that its easy to turn on full blast at any point, mostly when in your pocket.
-The bezel ring with the modes printed on it was no longer accurate after about a year and continuously got worse. Probably because the seperate finger ring that was recommended covered the knurling to access the battery, causing the bezel to get loosened everytime it needed to be charged.

Functionally I loved everything about this light, from the size and how nice it fits in a back pocket, to how many lumens are crammed into it. Highly recommend this flashlight to anyone, 1600 lumens is plenty for everyday functionality. The charge lasts a few days with heavy use and weeks, if not months, with light EDC use.

I’ve used top-tier tactical lights from multiple leading manufacturers throughout my career, but the clarity and brightness of the TA30C outshine them all. With a maximum output of 1600 lumens, it provides impressive illumination in any environment. The adjustable brightness levels and strobe mode add a level of versatility that's perfect for daily patrols, tactical operations, or emergency situations. This flashlight isn’t just powerful — it’s reliable, intuitive, and built for real-world use. A must-have tool in any professional’s kit. I use it currently in my retirement job working security. Overall quality (fit, finish, reliability, specs, etc. ) is on par with high-end torches from other brands, but for a fraction of the cost.
I'm a massive fan of the rotating magnetic tailcap.
The biggest dilemma most (of not all) other high-powered torches seem to have is related to the accessibility of high- and low output settings.
Either one is accessible at the cost of the other, or the UI is a complicated unintuitive mess. Each solution seems to always have another drawback, often resulting in having to cycle through unwanted modes.
In my opinion Nextorch solves this beautifully and elegantly with the rotating tailcap.
Not only is it incredibly satisfying to use, it's the only torch I know that solves these accessibility issues without any drawbacks.
Where one would normally have the dilemma of picking a torch focused on either tactical and domestic use, this torch uniquely is great for both.

I love this flashlight. I work in construction and use lights daily. This thing is solidly built. I like the momentary on/off switch in the cap. It also has a ring dial on the rear of the light to keep it continuously on

I am using the CR123A batteries in this. I didn’t pay attention to the description and didn’t see that it doesn’t come with any batteries. No big deal, as I have a ton of 123’s laying around.

It has a nice belt clip and sits nicely in my pocket. This thing is BRIGHT. Brighter than my Fenix light of about the same cost. The strobe feature is absolutely blinding.

Highly recommend this light. Just don’t forget the batteries!

I can see why this flashlight has the price tag that it has. The quality of the light shows in every aspect of the construction and design. The first thing that got my attention is the unconventional ring switch located on the tail cap of this flashlight. It also has a typical push button momentary tail switch. The rear button switch has two modes. A light push of the button activates full power light output no matter that the ring switch setting is on. A full pressure press of the rear button activates the strobe mode no matter what mode you are in. Just below the button is a ring switch that is operated by twisting the switch to different settings.

Ring switch settings:
You can choose the “Tac” setting which is the default off position of the light. This setting allows you to lightly press the rear tail button and get momentary full light output. When you press the tail switch a little firmer, the light goes into a strobe mode. The next setting is the “low” setting which gives good light output for reading and close up work without giving too much light which can be blinding. Switching the ring switch to the low, medium, and high modes keeps the light on without the need to hold the tail cap button......
I think this is my new favorite go to flashlight. Buy it! You won’t be disappointed.

There are a lot of high performance flashlights on the market and this is another one. It is well made and utilizes excellent materials. Well designed and the magnetic switch Is nice. It does not come with a rechargeable battery which does not make any sense at this price point. The beam is good and has multiple settings. Nice flashlight but a little pricey.

This flashlight is really well made and solid. The ring switch on the butt of the device is solid and smooth as you rotate through the modes. You can light press to turn on the light and hard press to strobe. There is a battery indicator light that briefly lights up when you shut it off. Great size to put in your pocket and has a clip that slides securely over your pocket or belt. The front of the flashlight also doubles as a glass breaker for emergency situations. I used an 18650 battery that I had but you can use 2 CR123a batteries with the plastic sleeve that comes with it. There is not battery included and no usb port for charging so you have to take the battery out to charge. Slight inconvenience but quality, features, and brightness more than make up for it.

Solid build, feels like quality materials. Too new to me to give any opinion on how it performs over time. Feels like a 4.5/5 and the only knock on it is the price point.

Cons:
- expensive. not sure a small tactical flashlight is worth $100. maybe I'll feel differently if it is still performing well in several years
- a possible pro and con is batter requirement. It uses either (2) CR 123 or (1) 18650 batteries. They do not come with purchase of the flashlight (which I should have figured out but did not realize). The pro on this is the battery lasts longer and there are many recharge options/platforms. Con is they are not readily available if you forget or run out of batteries.
- no beam focus/adjustment. probably not a deal breaker on a small light, but would be a nice addition at the price point.
- hard to adjust/change the light function with only one hand

Pros:
- feels solid in your hand. definitely a quality build
- VERY bright light at maximum
- the on/off dial feels very smooth and has 4 options (3 brightness, 1 strobe). it also has a pressure sensitive button on the end for quick increase to maximum or to strobe

Overall, this is a great flashlight and my only hesitation for 5 stars in the price.
