Best flashlight on the market

I now own 3 of these….this is by far the best bang for your buck. Perfect for literally any use. This is 100% the perfect mid range flashlight. Battery life is great as well. It fits perfectly in my pocket. The design is rugged and more so on the “tactical” side.

Nice, compact, well laid out, metal bodied rechargeable pocket flashlight.

I am always on the lookout for a surefire replacement. Most of the time they are either too large or too much plastic. This one seems rather well done and better yet, it is rechargeable. It feels right, it is light and fits well in the hand. The threading is all very clean and it works pretty well. It clicks through 3 levels of brightness easily and you can further adjust the beam.It is a solid unit and not a bad unit for the price.

A better design because it is a smarter design - let me tell you why

Many flashlights that use USB-C charging ports attempt to make them waterproof by using a rubber plug. But this NEXTORCH flashlight conceals the charging port behind an o-ring that is compressed by the LED head, essentially using the LED head as a door to the charging port. That's a clever extension by the use of an old design already in common use. Sometimes small details done well give me the fizz. NEXTORCH includes a spare o-ring. The challenge is how to keep track of where you store the spare so that if you ever need it, you know where to find it.The tail-cap on/off control sequence (pressing the button) is as follows:High-Off-Medium-Off-Low-Off as shown in the video. It couldn't be any more simple. The simplicity of this sequence tends to alleviate errors induced by stress and/or surprise. Flashlights that have numerous modes which are accessed by complex sequences of double-taps or ancillary buttons, or half-presses versus full presses, or short versus long presses are perfectly suitable for a variety of situations. But if you need a light that does just one thing on the first press, which is to go bright without fail on the first press, then this just might be the light for you.NEXTORCH flashlight holsters are sold separately. The one shown in this review is available on Amazon via this link: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CZ8PD3R5I think it pairs well with this flashlight, the NEXTORCH E51C.

It's A Light

For a $60 light it's OK, not bad. However it lacks ONE feature that a $10 light has, A Memory. The light always defaults back to it's high setting. Its not a big deal but in certain circumstances it can be annoying! A memory is a common feature on MOST lights have and I can't believe it was omitted on a light that is as "premium" as this one claims to be!

It's All In the Switch!

I thought that this might have been a reasonable buy for a rechargeable flashlight. It featured three beams of varying luminosity, high, medium and low controlled by pressing an end switch. It worked well for a month and then the switch failed. The selected beam would switch to another setting when set. The beam selection was having difficulty in responding to the pressure on the switch. These flashlights are dependent upon having a quality switch to contol them. This one isn't one of them.

Can't make the strobe work

The strobe doesnt work reliably, and you can't focus the beam. It is very bright though.

Many nice features, sturdy, reasonable price

Uses 18650 rechargeable. Comes with 'Nextorch' brand 2600mAh 3.6v 9.36Wh spec.No focus ability. Beam is basically a spot with some additional peripheralillumination. Great for general use, walking/hiking, etc. Not great forspotting at a distance.Includes a USB-A to -C charge cable (longer than the typical 3 inch cableoften included in a flashlight set).Simple use: click the tail switch to turn on; each click goes to next brightness.Charge time: about 3 hours.Price $60, reasonable for the quality.Pro:Bright (but 1600 lm only when battery is fulyl charged)Sturdy - aluminum frame. Threads clean, turn easily.Light weightClip is strong, can handler thicker material such as jeans.(It is a one-way clip, not a two-way. Holds the light lens-downwith enough of the light exposed so you can grab it easily.Tail switch is very positive / clicky; has fair protection to avoidactivating in pocket/toolbox/pouch.Simple use: click the tail switch to turn on; each click goes to next brightness.Use 'light touch' to 'preview' the current level; double light-touch thenfull click to get strobe. Found the 'light click' a bit hard to execute. As I do not expect to ever use the strobe mode, I find this preferable tothe lights that seem impossible to use without getting unwanted strobe sometimes. This light never did that for me; thumbs up for that.Comes with 2 spare O-rings.USB-charge; do not need to remove battery. The USB port is underneath the head-end (LED lens end); you 'unscrew' thehead and it exposes the USB port. This should do a very good job keepingwater out. This is quite unique. Don't forget this or you may be searchingfor the USB port / rubber cover -- which does not exist(!)IPX-8 2m rated; did not test this.Comes with battery blocking disc; includes a separate tag to remind thatthe disc must be removed before use, shows how to do that. A nice touch.Four stage 'remaining capacity' indication: shows when light is firstpowered up. One LED; blue for >75%, blue-blink >50%, red > 25%,red-blink for < 25%. (Adequate but not as nice as 4 LEDs or a text display.)Con:Base (tail) is not magnetic; entire body is aluminum / non-magnetic.Tail can be used to stand the light upright, but the tail is only50% of the circumference; that is, it is slotted. This makes itless stable when upright, but does give somewhat better access to thetail switch (esp. if wearing gloves).Single fuel - use only 18650 batteries. Cannot use two CR123 batteries.Overall:This flashlight is one of my trusted lights, use it regularly.Simple to use, plenty bright, sturdy, water resistant, nice sizeand heft. Great for general use. Reasonable price.

Solid build, Very bright

Well built. Feels more sturdy and a little heavier than my last flashlight that was in the same price range. Also brighter. The button on the back is a little more stiff than my last flashlight and more difficult to get into strobe mode, but overall great flashlight. Satisfied with the purchase

Powerful and Reliable Flashlight

The 1600 lumens are impressively bright, and the beam distance really surprised me—it reaches far beyond what I expected. The USB-C charging hidden under the head cap is a genius touch, making it feel more durable and truly waterproof. Switching between the different brightness levels is simple, even in stressful moments, which I appreciate. Overall, it’s a solid, well-designed flashlight that I’d recommend to anyone!

Very bright, great design, metal button

My other flashlight technically outputs more lumens, but this one seems just as bright, thanks to a better-controlled beam. Controls are very intuitive and won't slow you down in an emergency: Half-pressing the switch gives you a preview of the brightness, double-click activates strobe, and a full-press locks in the mode. It doesn't get much simpler without sacrificing functionality and versatility.Physically, it's clear that a lot of thought went into this flashlight. The U-shaped base provides easy access to the switch while also preventing accidental operation. The button itself is made of sturdy metal, so I'm not worried about premature wear that can happen with rubber-dome switches. The removable belt clip has a clever, low-profile design that's secured by the tail cap. At the other end, the USB-C charging port is located underneath the head cap, well-protected from the elements. All in all, premium quality and impressive brightness in this tactical flashlight. It doesn't have magnets or glass-breaker beads, but I'm not bothered by those minor omissions. Highly recommended.

EXTREMELY BRIGHT!!!

I work in the security industry, and in the evening time I often need a good flashlight to light up one's day. I got this one not expecting much but boy was a surprised. One click of the activation button the light as bright as hell, second click a bit dimmer, and third click the weakest beam of them all. Also if you lightly double click the button before a complete press you get a very effective strobe effect. Awesome little flashlight and such a little package.

Super bright light

This flashlight is just the right size; you could use it in your pocket as a tactical light, but it is on the larger side for that use. It is super bright on the high setting and gives you two more options with each click to lower the power. The flash function is a light cumbersome to achieve, but it does work. The charge last for quite a long time; overall it's a great light!

Quite nice light, but I'm not a fan of tail switches only.

This is a very well made light, obviously robust construction, and I'm sure lots of people will like everything about it. I'm not much of a fan of tail switch only lights, I like to hold my light the old fashioned way, that is with my arm down rather than with my arm up and the light even with my shoulder. When held in that way it means that to change the switch either on off or change modes I have to flip the flashlight around to get the tail next to my thumb. A bit of a hassle and then I have to switch it back to get back to the way I like to hold the light. I do understand that some people like to hold the light the way they do in the movies with the hand up and the light more or less even with your shoulder. And in that way the thumb switch falls naturally underneath the thumb. Anyway this is made a little bit more of a hassle because the tail switch has a very strong spring in it. So I have to hold tightly onto the light itself with my other four fingers in order to keep the light from slipping out of my hand while I press with my thumb. It is kind of a hassle to turn on and off or change modes. Although the strong spring might just mean that it's a really well-built robust switch. The other problem with having a strong spring in the switch is that with continued use I find the rubber boots that cover these switches wear out and then all that nice waterproofing that this light has is useless. Except for the switch issues, I pretty much like everything else about this light. It's nice and bright, uses a replaceable 18650 cell, and the beam has a nice central hotspot with a nice amount of flood around it. The beam is neutral color, generally found only in the higher end flashlights as the less expensive ones usually have a blue tint, making color discrimination difficult at night. The user interface is refreshingly simple. Half press the switch to scroll through the modes then full press the switch on the mode you desire. Next press of the switch turns the light off instantly. The USB port cover is accessed by rotating the head of the light, this exposes an o-ring sealed USB C port. Obviously this is a big contribution to the waterproof rating of this light and more expensive and robust construction then found with the typical silicone rubber flap covering the port. It is nice and compact, no extra stuff that would make it more difficult to put in your pocket. It has no memory function, it always starts off in bright mode, however the user interface is so simple that memory really isn't necessary. It does not have a moonlight mode which I would have kind of liked. Anyway, basically a really nice light, I'm just not really a fan of tail switch only lights.
