On May 16, 2025, the LLTI Summit was successfully held in Germany, hosted by the Low-Light Tactical Institute (LLTI), which was founded by NEXTORCH. As a key event celebrating the 20th anniversary of the NEXTORCH, the summit brought together tactical experts, law enforcement instructors, and medical advisors from across Europe. The forum focused on real-world low-light operations, equipment applications, and interdisciplinary collaboration—earning widespread recognition and high praise from the professional community.

Opening Address: Advancing Global Tactical Knowledge in Low-Light Operations
The event opened with remarks from Mr. Peter Koch, Managing Director of NEXTORCH Germany, and Mr. Robin Liang, the founder of NEXTORCH. Robin delivered a keynote on the development and evolution of low-light tactical strategies in Asia, while Peter provided the European perspective—together highlighting key advancements and practical applications in the field.

Low-Light & NightWarrior Tactics: In-Depth Training by ROSI
Renowned European tactical instructor Hermann “ROSI” Rosenberg led a focused and highly practical session on advanced low-light tactics for police and military operations. As one of the previous original KSK commandos and a respected figure within the Bundeswehr, ROSI brought decades of field and training experience to the summit. His session covered:
- Tactical use of low-light for police and military operations
- “NightWarrior” tactical techniques designed for real-world night deployments
- Low-light entry and room-clearing tactics in dynamic environments

ROSI’s lecture combined strategic theory with live demonstrations, offering participants deep insights into how lighting tools and techniques can be effectively integrated into law enforcement and military procedures.
He also shared reflections on his participation in a previous LLTI event held in China (2023) and praised the design of NEXTORCH’s tactical flashlights: “NEXTORCH flashlights are not only ergonomic and practical, but also built to withstand the demands of dynamic real-world conditions—making them a trusted choice for European tactical teams.”

Tactical Medical Insights: Light, Color, and Blood Visibility
Dr. Uli, a respected forensic expert in Europe, delivered a special session on the visibility of blood under different lighting conditions—a critical aspect in tactical medicine and forensic response.
Drawing from his field experience in Mogadishu, Dr. Uli emphasized how crucial it is to identify bleeding in low-light or nighttime situations. He conducted live tests using the NEXTORCH T53 Tri-colour LED flashlight and the new pocket TA21 flashlight with dual light sources, showing the effectiveness of different glove and light color combinations for spotting blood, with key findings including:
- Green gloves + low-intensity green light provided the best blood visibility in low-light environments
- Light intensity and wavelength significantly impact the accuracy of casualty assessment.
He later exchanged in-depth feedback with NEXTORCH’s R&D team, contributing valuable insight for future product development in forensic and field medical applications.

Vehicle Extraction Demo & Live Drills: Forcible Entry, Control Tactics, and Window Breaching
German tactical instructors Sören and Marvin's team led hands-on demonstrations of vehicle control tactics, showcasing:
- Coordinated vehicle occupant control techniques during tactical traffic stops
- Tactical window breaching using NEXTORCH flashlights and expandable batons
- Vehicle extraction and arrest procedures utilizing NEX baton and tactical flashlight
Participants also took part in live breaching exercises with TA22 Penlight, testing the strength and performance of NEXTORCH tools firsthand. Many SWAT officers commented on the high efficiency and real-world value of these functions in the field.

Baton Tactics: Close-quarters & Control Techniques
German instructor Marco and his team demonstrated both solo and two-person baton control techniques, integrating biomechanics, force redirection, and coordinated movements to subdue uncooperative subjects in non-lethal situations. The session emphasized how equipment integration and tactical movement function together as part of a comprehensive training system.

- Joint manipulation for rapid control
- Quick takedowns and threat suppression
- Seamless integration of traditional close-quarters tactics with modern tools
Gala Dinner & Awards Ceremony: Honoring Excellence, Inspiring the Future
The LLTI Summit 2025 concluded with a warm and memorable gala dinner, where participants came together to celebrate shared achievements and strengthen professional bonds. The evening featured a special awards ceremony that highlighted the summit’s spirit of collaboration and innovation.
The founder & Chief Designer, Mr. Robin, took the stage to present the Annual Design Award to Mr. ROSI, highlighting the collaborative spirit behind the co-development of the SHADOW GUARD SG00 magazine knife. The presentation traced the knife’s evolution from initial field-driven ideas to its final form.
"Many of our products are born from real-world needs shared by instructors, officers, and front-line professionals,” Mr. Robin said. At NEXTORCH, we listen carefully to those in the field and turn their insights into dependable, high-performance flashlights and gear.
Throughout the evening, instructors from various countries exchanged ideas and shared valuable feedback, planting the seeds for the next generation of tactical solutions. The atmosphere was one of mutual respect and shared purpose, uniting professionals across borders through a common dedication to excellence.
The LLTI 2025 Summit in Germany marked a significant milestone: the first dedicated low-light tactics forum of its kind in Europe. It reinforced NEXTORCH’s role as a global thought leader in tactical innovation.
