Super bright, and doesn’t feel cheap at all.

Solid built, high quality flashlight. Very bright, and also has a rapid flash setting. It does get pretty high pretty quickly though, so need to be mindful of that. Battery life appears to be good once fully charged and if you don’t constantly use the highest brightness. And it’s not overly heavy even though it uses thick materials.Great for camping or emergency preparation. I think it’s worth the money because of the brightness and build quality.

A Searchlight in the Palm of Your Hand

I'm a big fan of NEXTORCH lights because they focus on simplicity and reliability. Their interfaces are straightforward, they're easy to operate under stress, and they generally feel like tools designed to work instead of trying to cram in a dozen gimmicks. The P82C is an absolute beast when it comes to throw. If you're looking for a true searchlight that you can still comfortably carry by hand, this delivers. The beam reaches an impressive distance, making it excellent for camping, scouting trails, checking large properties, or simply seeing what's way out there. I own several throwers, and this is easily the largest and longest-reaching one in my collection. The build quality is excellent, the battery life has been solid, and USB-C charging makes it easy to top off. That said, I still can't get past NEXTORCH's impact ratings. For a flashlight in this price range that's clearly aimed at professional and outdoor use, I wish it were rated for more than a 1-meter drop. It's one of the few things that consistently disappoints me about the brand. My only other criticism is the user interface. I appreciate its simplicity, but at nearly $90 I'd like a few more advanced options for enthusiasts who want greater control over the light's output or programming. That's a personal preference more than a flaw, though. If your priority is a dependable, easy-to-use long-range flashlight with outstanding throw, this one absolutely delivers.

Good utility light. Not tactical.

I have 6 different lights from Nextorch. 2 of them are "tactical", meaning their switch is on the end, where you can intuitively find it with your thumb, without looking (those are nice). The last 3 I have - P82c (this one), P83 and P80 are not that. I would just call them a modern flashlight. Yes, there's strobe and 3 different brightness settings, yes, they're water-resistant, but switches are not easy to find without looking, unless you're already holding the light with your finger on the switches.I was initially confused - couldn't find the USB-c charging port, but you have to unscrew the head to find it (see photo) - that's to protect the port from water. Their tactical lights use charging port on the battery itself, so once you insert and close, it's watertight.Anyway, the light is very bright and output is impressive. A raccoon came into our yard after dark, so I flashed the beam on it on full bright and it skedaddled back to the tree line :)Main peeve: the main switch works as momentary - slight push without click. But when you click it, it's full bright on down-push and then medium when you let go. I tried to capture that in the video. That's not good design, not thoughtful. The 2 tactical lights have a much better design.Overall, USB-c rechargeable flashlights are the future (well, present), so to me that's the most valuable. Can always use an extra utility light in the car or at home. Can't have too many.

Heavy-duty ultra-bright light that offers incredible durability but has a frustrating UI.

Well, after my previous cheap flashlight flickered out during a heavy storm, I decided it was time to invest in a serious, heavy-duty professional light. After looking though multiple options, I chose this specific NEXTORCH P82C model because of its high-intensity 2200 Lumens white light and whooping 1100 meters beam distance, which seemed perfect for keeping it in my car for emergencies. Out of the box, the first thing that struck me was the sheer, tank-like build quality. It is constructed from thick, aerospace-grade aluminum with smooth, perfectly machined threads that feel like they will last a lifetime. The cleverest physical feature is the hidden USB-C port - instead of a flimsy rubber flap that easily tears, you rotate the head of the light to expose the charging interface, ensuring complete weather protection. In the field, the illumination is impressive, providing a powerful, wide-reaching white beam that easily sweeps across large parking areas while maintaining a bright center hot spot. I also love the dedicated instant strobe button, which gives immediate, stressful defensive flashing with a single press in critical situations. It also features a four-led battery level indicator, so you always know how much juice is left in it.However, the user interface definitely takes some getting used to and might frustrate casual users. It completely lacks mode memory and forces a high-to-low sequence, meaning you must endure a blinding blast of white light before you can access the gentle low mode. There is no tail power button, which makes it practically impossible to use the flashlight with a handgun using “Ice pick” grip style (like in Harries technique). Additionally, the lack of an included pocket clip or a magnetic tail cap feels like a missed opportunity for a light at this price point. Despite these tactical design quirks, it remains an incredibly solid and reliable tool for professional duty use.Bottom line:If you are looking for a rugged, heavy-duty tool for security, law enforcement, or emergency bag, this NEXTORCH P82C high-intensity light is an exceptional choice. Its indestructible construction and genius hidden charging port offer incredible reliability in harsh weather. However, the lack of mode memory, the mandatory high-to-low control, and lack of a tail button make it poorly suited for actual tactical use scenarios. It is a specialized, professional duty light that delivers immense power where it counts. I give this product a 4 out of 5 stars rating and highly recommend it to police, security professionals, or emergency preppers, though tactical users might want to look elsewhere.Pros:1. The aluminum body is incredibly tough.2. Ultra high-intensity 2200 lumen white beam.3. Exceptional 1100 meters beam distance.4. The hidden charging port protects against water.5. Threading is exceptionally smooth and clean.6. Four side LEDs show battery levels.7. Dual switches offer direct strobe access.8. The package includes a 4800mAh battery.Cons:1. The user interface lacks mode memory.2. There is no included pocket clip.3. No tail switch or magnet.4. This light is too large for pockets.

Incredible distance & candela output, beam pattern has a ton of added spill

This is a pretty impressive light that has a really nice beam pattern and excellent build quality. It’s a larger light but I think the proportions look very appealing and it isn’t as heavy as I was expecting. It has fairly simple controls, that work well for the most part, although I did find the buttons to be a bit hard to locate by touch as they’re small and flat, and I question the need for a dedicated button to access strobe mode. I would’ve found a direct-to-turbo button more useful, but in any case, it’s there and is also difficult to differentiate from the main switch, while also being too small and too close to the main switch. I’m sure as I use it more, I’ll get more familiar with the controls but it was something I noticed immediately. The actual user interface is pretty solid though; there’s no memory function, the light always comes on at Medium, a half press from there accesses Low, and another press goes to High. When the light is off, a half press goes to momentary High mode. It’s simple and works pretty well, with the switches being responsive and tactile. The light outputs a beam with a focused and defined hotspot and a lot of spill. It has the effect of not only throwing a very long distance, but also lighting up the area quite a bit along the way. I think it’s pretty awesome and far preferable to a pure thrower light, as it’s actually useful for navigation as well. Battery life seems pretty solid so far as well, and I like how it has a USB-C port built into the light. I don’t care for how it’s hidden under the light head and requires unscrewing the head to expose the port as I wonder how long it’ll be before this mechanism loosens slightly but so far it hasn’t been an issue. Overall, I think it’s an excellent light and have pretty minor complaints with it. It produces a great beam that throws an incredible distance, has a lot of spill, very good build quality and it’s easy to use with a simple UI.

Excellent quality and very bright

I own a couple other Nextorch lights and have been very happy with them. This one is no exception but there are a couple caveats to it that are a bit odd in my opinion. First off, this thing is very bright in its high setting. The medium setting brings it down to a useful, in the house level but the low setting is almost useless. Cycling through the settings is not exactly my favorite as it's done through the power button you use to turn it on with. Hold it for a microsecond too long and it cycles down just trying to turn it on. It's very sensitive. The next interesting part is where the USB port is located between the barrel of the body and aperture that has to be threaded almost all the way off. It's a design that makes it water tight so I do appreciate that aspect of it. The end cap threads off for the battery and it comes with a big 4800mAh cell. Both threaded components have good o-rings for sealing. There's also a battery level indicator next to the power button to let you know the current level of charge. Construction is top notch, machined aluminum with some good weight to it. Feels great in the hand. Overall, I still very much love this light and would definitely recommend it.

Super dazzling

As you watch in my video, this flashlight is super bright which could be used as a spotlight because mostly focuses on one spot, so it's great for hunting. Besides, the battery has a decent size which gives me about 2 hrs nonstop using it. Moreover, this unit is waterproof which I've used it under water for not long time, but still works great. There is 2 buttons and the large one is main key to tuen on/off and small one is for flashing. Highly recommended.

Nextorch Spot-light is a Beast of a light

Another absolutely incredible flashlight from Nextorch.I have several different lights from this brand. I have been loving their over the top level of quality. These are exceptionally well built products that exceed your traditional standards of service duty. This is the spotlight model. It has a nice tight beam pattern that throws light very far. It has a very usable amount of spill over light to compliment the distance from the center spot.It is perfect for searching a large area quickly and easily. It won't disappoint.

Love-hate relationship

So, I love everything about this flashlight... except the software. The size and heft is perfect. It is balanced just right in the hand and feels like a real flashlight. The build and anodization quality is exceptional. The switch feel... that is something to write home about! The "instant strobe" button works great, though I hate the feature itself. The main button has a momentary-on at full brightness, and a full-click to normal brightnesses. Once fully clicked on, a partial click will cycle through modes, High → Medium → Low → Repeat. I again kind of hate this, because the instant-on blast of bright will ruin your night vision, as will cycling from higher to lower modes. The emitter choice is perfect for this light. It's terrifically bright and pure white. It's perfectly centered in a flawless reflector. The hidden charging port is also a great touch - none of that rubber flap stuff that always breaks. The included high-quality 21700 cell has built-in USB-C charging as well.

When standard patrol lights just won't cut it, the P82C police flashlight delivers an impressive 1100-meter beam that lets you control the scene from extreme distances. This professional-grade long range flashlight pumps out 2200 lumens of tactical illumination, making it perfect for rural patrol, search and rescue operations, and securing large perimeters where seeing farther gives you the tactical edge.

The P82C patrol light features an intuitive side-switch interface that puts instant strobe at your fingertips while providing quick access to three distinct brightness levels. You can run traffic stops at 430 lumens or immediately switch to 2200 lumens when you need maximum visibility—all without fumbling through complicated sequences that waste crucial seconds.

Constructed from aerospace-grade aluminum with military-spec anodizing, this police flashlight withstands the punishment of daily duty use. Its IPX7 waterproofing keeps it functioning in downpours and temporary submersion, while the reinforced design shrugs off drops that would permanently disable lesser search and rescue lights.

Powered by the advanced 21700 battery platform with convenient USB-C charging, the P82C long range flashlight delivers when backup isn't an option. Run this search and rescue light at full 2200-lumen output for 3 solid hours, or extend operation to an impressive 85 hours at the 40-lumen patrol setting—giving you reliability when you need it the most.
